Abstract

PURPOSE: A cured product being excellent in acid resistance, alkali resistance, water resistance and physical properties such as impact resistance, abrasion resistance and flexibility, prepared from a composition comprising an organic polyisocyanate and an active hydrogen-containing organic compound which is a specific OH-containing polybutadiene derivative.
CONSTITUTION: There is prepared an active hydrogen-containing compound (A) which is a hydroxyl group-containing polybutadiene prepared by reacting a monoalkanolamine with an adduct between maleic anhydride and a butadiene polymer or copolymer having a number-average MW of 300W5,000 and which contains 0.5W 3.0eq. of CNO per eq. of OH group. Then, a coating solution is produced by dissolving an organic polyisocyanate compound and a mixture of the component A and up to 50wt%, based on total of A+A', of another active hydrogen containing- compound A' (this is used on occasion, in place of A) such as glycerin or polyether in a solvent such as bytyl acetate. The films obtained from the coating solution have excellent water resistance, good physical properties, chemical properties and adhesiveness.
