Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently separate and recover a very small amount of Au contained in industrial waste water or the like by allowing a specified porous polymer resin to contact to the waste water or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A very small amount of Au contained in seawater or industrial waste water is separated and collected by adsorption with the following adsorbent: porous polymer based on glycidyl ester of acrylic acid whose α-position carbon may have a substituent and resin having episulfide or thiol groups or porous polymer consiting of aromatic vinyl and polyvinyl monomers and having macronetwork structure and resin having thiol groups. The Au adsorbent resin is allowed to contact to Au-contg. water to allow the Au to be adsorbed on the resin, and the Au is separated by elution with a 0.02N aqueous soln. of KCN or the like.
