Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent garden plants, etc., from having their roots rotted by automatically stopping water sprinkling operation without reference to the set time of an operation-time setting timer in rainy or high-humidity weather through the operation of a humidity sensor and by sprinkling water in low-humidity weather to the contrary.
CONSTITUTION: At a time set in operation-time setting timer 3, switch 2 connected to AC power source 1 is turned ON to let water-sprinkling time setting timer 4 start operating, and consequently a current is flowed through exciting coil 5a to put solenoid valve 6, so that water will be sprinkled for a time set in timer 4. To this control circuit, humidity sensor 7 is connected via logic circuit 9 to detect humidity by humidity detecting element 8 of sensor 7 and when atmospheric humidity is high, transistor TR1 conducts to hold the output of circuit 9 at level "L". Then, switch element S is held OFF, even if the control signal of timer 4 is output, to stop the operation of solenoid valve 6 automatically and while unneeded water sprinkling it avoided, water is sprinkled only at low humidity, thereby preventing garden plants, etc., from having roots rotted.
