Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the overturn of a vessel by operating normal position-regaining boards provided at a lower portion of its center board by virtue of the function of an pendulum which has weight movable freely on either sides and thereby correcting a tilt of the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: A pendulum 1, which has a built-in weight 12 movable freely on either sides, is arranged to cover a water flow port 2. This pendulum 1 rotates an arm 3 by the tilting movement of a vessel. Then the arm 3 drives in an associated fashion a handle 5, which is fixed to a board 8 movable by a water flow, by means of an arm pin 4, whereby the board 8 is turned by 90°. Owing to said turning motion, the board 8 faces toward the travelling direction of the vessel and receives a water pressure, whose strength is dependent on the travelling speed of the vessel, and is pushed rearward. Here, the board 8 pulls an interlocking rod 11 about a variable metal 13 as an axis of its turning motion so that an crank plate 9 is rotated and a crank shaft 10 is rotated by means of its associated action with a spring cam 6 and so on, whereby normal position-regaining boards A, B are changed in their directions and the tilt of the vessel is corrected.
