Abstract
PURPOSE: A low-toxic highly effective antitumor agent composed mainly of a specific organic silicon compound.
CONSTITUTION: An agent containing, as a main component, an organic silicon compound of formula I (R is H or methyl; Z is O or methylene) [e.g. 1,1,1,3,5,5,5- heptamethyl-3-(3-morpholinopropyl)trisiloxane]. The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting a piperidine or a morpholine of formula II with a compound of formula III. It is effective to Ehrlich scirrhous cancer, Sarcoma-180, and Lewis pulmonary cancer cells at an inhibition rate of 70W80%.
