Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent control valve from erosion by determining the optimum opening of control valves in the region of voltage transforming operation, considering fluctuations of system frequency, slope regulation rate, and turbine thermal efficiency in a load control system for a turbine power plant.
CONSTITUTION: A load control device is so constituted that voltage transforming operation may be performed by throttling properly plural control valves installed at the flow inlet of the main steam based on a nozzle choke control system. A circuit, designed to obtain the optimum opening set point of control valve during voltage transforming operation, consists of an output directive signal 11, a subtractor 13 to input a generator output signal 12, a PI controller 15 to output a governer opening directive signal 16 and a function generator 17 to determine a main steam pressure setting signal 18 with an output directive signal 11. The circuit is also provided with a subtractor 20 to input the above setting signal 18 and a main steam pressure signal 19, and a PI controller 21 to output a main steam pressure correcting signal 22 and an adder 23 to output a boiler input directive signal 24.
