Abstract

PURPOSE: To feed processed waste inot a fluidized-bed incinerator uniformly by arranging an intermediate storage tank equipped with a slow speed screw conveyer at its bottom and a high speed screw conveyer in series between a feed hopper and the fluidized-bed incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: Solid waste roughly crushed into suitable sizes is stored in a feed hopper 1, then extracted from its bottom by an extracting device 2 and supplied to a gas seal valve 4 by a vertical transporter 3 continuously. This valve 4 is, for example, a combination of two stage swing valves and drops the waste into an intermediate storage tank 5 keeping the airtight state of said storage tank 5. Said intermediate storage tank 5 has a slow speed screw conveyer 6 at ist bottom, and a high speed screw conveyer 7 is connected in series to this conveyer 6. By so doing, waste is supplied to a fluidized bed 9 continuously. Said extracting device 2 is controlled based on the output of level gages 8 and 8' attached to the intermediate storage tank 5.
