CONSTITUTION:Signal Va of the voltage proportional to the fuel flow rate is generated via fuel supply impeller 1a, slit rotary plate 1b which rotates in a body with impeller 1a, light emitting element and photodetectors 1c and 1d, frequency-voltage converter 2 and others. On the other hand, voltage signal Vs proportional to the speed of car is generated by rotor 3a interlocking the rotation of the wheel, electromagnetic pickup 3b, frequency-voltage converter 4 and others. Then the running fuel cost signals equivalent to the distance run per 1l are supplied to electric- mechanical converter 6 forming the linear solenoid by carrying out a division between signals Vs and Va by divider 5. As a result, the fuel cost is also recorded on tachograph recording paper 8. Thus the data of guidance for how to drive a car to save the fuel can be obtained.
