Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a noiseless and light sheet frame without any difficulty by a method wherein a slab material of soft urethane foam rubber is impregnated with synthetic resin liquid and is compressed and cured in an intended form to form a lot of bubbles on one surface portion at least.
CONSTITUTION: The slab material (a) of soft urethane form rubber is impregnated with adhesives (b) which have thermosetting or thermoplastic synthetic resin as the main component and the mixture is compressed between a male and female die (c) which have been formed before so that it will change into a desired shape, an intended thickness. When a setting bracket (d) is buried beforehand in the frame, the setting bracket (d) is positioned on the specified place of the precompressed slab material (a) and on it is mounted a small piece (e) of the slab material. Next, the die (c) is inserted into an electric furnace and the adhesives (b) are cured. Then, the die is removed. Setting holes, etc. are made and finished if necessary. Phenol- or urea-thermosetting substances and vinyl-, nylon-thermoplastic substances are given as the adhesives.
