Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned printing head enabling printing with contracted interval of dots without increasing the number of printing elements by providing a means which makes slightly move, within a specified plane, a guide on the side of the printing end of the wire of the printing head fixed to a carriage. CONSTITUTION:The frame 1 of the main body of a print head is fixed to a carriage 2 with a screw 4, while a driving device 24 of a guide 7 on the side of the printing end of a wire is fitted to the frame 1 with another screw 16. When a coil winding is electrified, the magnetic attraction force acting on an armature 12 becomes stronger than the spring force of a plate spring 11 and thereby the armature 12 is slightly rotated around the vicinity of a bend support point 27 in the direction of an arrow and attracted to a yoke 15, while the guide 7 and the printing end of a printing wire 8 engaged with the guide are also moved slightly in the direction almost perpendicular to the direction of the axial line of the wire, taking an intermediate dot insertion position. A clearance C between the armature 12 and the yoke 15 is set at a proper quantity, thereby the quantity of the move of the printing end of the printing wire 8 being made to be of a desired value.
