Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of the equipment by detecting the direction of rotation depending on the phase difference between two power sources and the output of light detection elements provided sandwitching a rotary slit plate rotating with the rotating body while having a slit and a fixed slit plate with two kind of slits facing each other.
