Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the highly efficient work of mirror surface finish at low cost further uniformly for the inner surface of a large cylinder, by applying a combined method of the melting action from electrolysis and the mechanical rubbing action by abrasives. CONSTITUTION:Electrode faces 5, 5' of grinding heads 4, 4' are pressed to the inner surface of a cylinder body 1 and applied with an electrolytic voltage. If a mount 3 is allowed to make a turning motion at the same time in the direction of an arrow mark A, the inner surface of the cylinder body 1 is processed by a work of electrolytic combined grinding by the action of electrolysis and the rubbing action of grinding belts 10, 10'.
