Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a rudder in a housed state or a state for dredging to facilitate the dredging operation, by merely pulling up or lowering a stopper arm attached to one end of the rudder.
CONSTITUTION: One end of a stopper arm 12 is pivoded to a base portion of a rudder 2 and an under side of the other end thereof is formed with hook 13. Guide pins 14 extend from opposite sides of the stopper arm 12. The housed state of the rudder 2 shown in solid line will be attained, if the other end of the stopper arm 12 is pulled up onto a hull 1 side to allow a stopper pin 16 to engage with the hook 13 of the stopper arm 12. The change of the housed state to a state for dredging operation will be attained such that the stopper arm 12 is pulled up to position the guide pins over guide rails 17, and then the stopper arm 12 is pushed down, the guide pins 14 can move along upper surfaces of the guide rails 17 to allow the stopper pin 16 to disengage with the hook 13 of the stopper arm 12, so that the rudder 12 is lowered to be in a state for dredging.
