Abstract

PURPOSE: A plastic eraser, having improved strength without damaging the surface of paper and degrading the erasing property, and prepared by incorporating wood flour into a base material consisting of a resin and a plasticizer mainly.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic eraser prepared by incorporating (E) 5W30wt% wood fluor having a particle size of preferably 2mm or less obtained by pulverizing a tree, seed or leaf stalk into a base material consisting of (A) 40W50wt% a resin, preferably polyvinyl chloride or vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, (B) 30W50wt% a plasticizer, e.g. phthalic acid type such as dioctyl phthalate or adipic acid type such as dioctyl adipate, as main components, and preferably (C) 5wt% or less a stabilizer, e.g. epoxidized soybean oil or potassium stearate, and (D) 10wt% or less a filler, e.g. calcium carbonate or silicic acid. A pigment or perfume may be added thereto if necessary.
