Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively remove the hydrogen chloride without producing waste water by spraying an aqueous solution of alkali metal carbonate, etc. into high temperature waste gas from the waste product incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: HCl gas-contg. high-temperature waste gas from the waste product incinerator is sent to a water-jet type gas cooling device, where the aqueous solution including one or more of carbonate of alkali metals, acidic carbonates of alkali metals or alkali earth metals is sprayed into the high-temperature waste gas. The process precipitates metallic chlorides and produces water and carbon dioxide without generating waste water. A preferable concentration of the above aqueous solution of metallic salt is about 0.1W15wt%.
