Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate an airtight coupling work on a male screw by a method wherein an annular groove is provided in the intermediate part of a male screw to be inserting, a tapped hole communicating to said annular groove is provided on a pipe in which the male screw is fitted, and a sealing agent is injected into the annular groove through said tapped hole.
CONSTITUTION: When applying to a blank cap, an internal thread hole 3 is provided at the opening of an airtight chamber 2 of a casing 1, and an annular groove 7 is provided on a male screw 4 engaging with the internal thread hole 3, at a boundary of its head 5 and a screw 6. Then, a small tapped hole 8 is provided on the casing 1 at a position of the annular groove 7 where the male screw 4 is given in the internal thread hole 3, and a thread plug 9 is screwed therein. To seal the blank cap airtightly, first the male screw 4 is fitted into the internal thread hole 3, and the thread plug 9 is removed. Next, an injector needle is inserted in the tapped hole 8, a sealing agent 10 like silicone resin is filled in the annular groove 7 through the injector, and then the thread plug 9 to fitted in the tapped hole 8.
