Abstract

PURPOSE: To drastically enhance the workability and efficiency of wire making operation by installing a 5-step continuous degreasing process between bright annealing and wire drawing processes of metal wire so that these process are synchronized.
CONSTITUTION: A 5-step degreasing process consists of: (1) Wire 01 to be treated is immersed in degreasing liquid in a treating cylinder 5 so as to swell fats and oils. (2) In a peeling chamber 9, metal brushes 10 mechanically removes fats and oils, nozzles 11 are used to clean by jetting, then the wire is passed through an ultrasonic cleaner 12. In a liquid removing chamber 15 which is prevented from inflow of liquid-gas phase, compressed air jetted from nozzles 17 removes liquid. (3) Rough cleaning water having specified pH is sprayed from nozzles 21 to perform rough cleaning. (4) While a gas-liquid barrier plate 23 prevents gas-liquid mist from entering chamber 20, compressed air is jetted from nozzles 24 to perform dehydration. (5) In a water washing chamber 26, high-quality water is sprayed for water-washing, then while preventing inflow of gas-liquid phase, compressed air is blown from nozzles 29 to perform dehydration. The wire 01 treated for finishing is charged into a bright annealing unit 7.
