Abstract

PURPOSE: To make easier the opening and closing of the door of a rotor chamber of centrifugal separator by using a simplified structure in which a rail is provided to the opening portion of a cover plate of the rotor chamber and a chamber door with a roller is provided slidably on the said rail having a concavity fitting to the roller in a desired position.
CONSTITUTION: The rail 11 is provided to the opening portion 6 of the cover plate 5 of the rotor chamber 3 of a centrifugal separator, into which the housing rack 2 for the sample tube 1 is incorporated, and the chamber door 7 with the roller 12 is provided on the rail 11 and also the piston rod 15 of the air cylinder 13 is clamped to the door 7, allowing the opening and closing operation of the door 7. Also, a concavity fitting to the roller into which the roller 12 drops is provided in place in the longitudinal direction of the rail 11 in such a way that the said roller 12 drops into the said concavity when the closing operation of the door 7 comes to an end and the opening portion 6 of the cover plate of the chamber 3 is enclosed. Thus, the chamber door of the centrifugal separator can be opened or closed completely and easily.
