Abstract
PURPOSE: To discharge a waste alkaline washing liquid from a deodorizing apparatus without regenerating malodorant by a method wherein the waste liquid added with activated carbon is subjected to aeration treatment and, after said activated carbon is separated, diluted or neutralized.
CONSTITUTION: In sewage or excretion treatment, a waste alkali washing liquid discharged from a deodorizing tower is added with about 1wt% of activated carbon and subjected to aeration treatment to oxidize sulfur compounds therein. Subsequently, said activated carbon is recovered by precipitation and the supernatant liquid is little bylittle and discharged as a secondary treating water or discharged after neutralized with an acid. By this treatment, the malodorant is not regenerated during discharging or an acid neutralizing procedure and high effect is shown in the deodorization of the whole environment.
