Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a mechanically and thermally stable oscillator in the solid laser oscillator by attaching a reflecting mirror support which comprises a material having a low thermal expansion factor and whose constitution is such that the reflection- angle adjusting function is provided by the plastic deformation caused by a mechanical external force on a solid leaser rod. CONSTITUTION:In the case reflecting mirrors 1 and 7 are attached to both ends of the solid laser rod 3, a support having the following constitution is used as the support 2 for supporting said reflecting mirrors 1 and 7. By using a material having a low thermal expansion factor such as invar, glass, or the like, a hollow portion is provided, and a flange, which comprises thick portions 5 and 6 that are not readily deformed and a thin portion 4 between the thick portions 5 and 6, is formed around the holow portion. A reflecting mirror 1 is fixed to the side of the portion 5. The structure of the side of the reflecting mirror 7 is the same as the side of the reflecting mirror 1. An external force is applied on the portions 5 and 6 that are not readily deformed, and the plastic deformation is yielded at the thin portion 4. The opposing angle of the reflecting mirrors 2 and 7 constituting a resonator is adjusted by using said deformation.
