Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Peptides of the formula or their salts.
USE: Peptides for preparation of the antibody of human parathyroid gland hormone (h-PTH) or labeled regents for quantitative analysis of h-PTH. Antibody prepared by using the peptide as an antigen has h-PTH and an immuno cross-reactivity. Compared with the known h-PTH (1W34) obtained from h-PTH, the immuno activity of this peptide labeled with I125 is stable. It is an analog of h-PHT (1W34) having the same configuration as h-PTH, wherein the methionines at the 8- and 18- positions are replaced with norleucines and tyrosine which can be readily labeled with I125 is bonded to the N-terminal through peptide bond.
PROCESS: The amino acid or lower peptide is condensed by the ordinary method.
