Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain always hot water above a certain temperature regardless of weather and day and night, by combining a semispherical domed solar energy collector, a heat pump and a thermal accumulator.
CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant gas, for example Freon gas or the like, is introduced into the gap between an outer shell 2 and an inner shell 3 of the semispherical domed solar energy collector 1, then the refrigerant gas which has been heated by the solar energy is compressed adiabatically by a compressor 7, thus heated refrigerant having elevated temperature is introduced into a heat exchanger 9 where it is subjected to heat exchange with a heat accumulating medium, for example water, the resulted liquefied refrigerant is led to a liquid receiver 11, and then the liquefied refrigerant gas is expanded and evaporated through an expansion valve 13 to be circulated to the solar energy collector 1. Thus in the present invention, since the semispherical domed solar energy collector 1 is used, it can receive and collect always a generally certain amount of the sunlight regardless of the elevation and position of the sun, and since hot water can be stored in a heat accumulator 18, the hot water having the temperature above a certain temperature is always available.
