Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat resistance and gas shielding properties of the total heat exchanger, by using as a partition a moisture permiable and gas shielding member comprising a fibrous and porous member impregnated with a reagent containing a surface treatment agent.
CONSTITUTION: Two flows of the fluid to be totally heat-exchanged are partitioned by a moisture permiable and gas shielding member comprising the fibrous and porous member that has been impregnated with the reagent containing the surface treatment agent such as colloidal alumina having a particle size of 0.01W0.1μm.
