Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a recorder of high accuracy and high reliability by obtaining the value of rectangular coordinates through a multification type D/A converter from stored digital values of sine and cosine with respect to the respective values of the angle θ and the input value of the polar coordinate R and supply the thus obtained values to an X-Y recorder.

CONSTITUTION: Since and cosine curves are previously stored in digital memory parts (ROM) 2 and 3 respectively in an address corresponding to the angle θ. Then, the angular component θ of the polar coordinate input is supplied to a counter 1 as a pulse proportional to the varied part of the angle obtained from the oscillator or the like, and the output signal emitted from the counter 1 is supplied to respective digital memory parts ROM2 and 3 to read out the content in the memory. This output signal is supplied to the multiplication type D/A converters 4 and 5, and multiplied by the R component of the polar coordinate simultaneously supplied. The outputs signals of R sinθ and R cosθ obtained by the above multiplication are supplied to an X-Y recorder, and positional information supplied at the polar coordinates R and θ are recorded in the X-Y recorder.
