CONSTITUTION: The SCR chopper 2 is connected through the breaker 6 to a DC power source 1. An accelerator signal is inputted from an accelerator 8 of the electric motor vehicle to the MPU9 connected to the accelerator 8, and the MPU9 outputs on or off pulse to the chopper 2 in a pulse forming circuit 10 on the basis of a command from the accelerator 8. An accelerator command signal is inputted to a monitoring circuit 5 to monitor the MPU9 together with the output signal from the MPU9. Consequently, the breaker is operated only when it must be operated in case that the chopper malfunctions, but is not accordingly operated in case that the MPU9 erroneously operates due to disturbance or the like.
