Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate noise caused by the vibration of the shaft of a generator and to improve the controllability in the electric power system stabilizer by adding means for detecting the generator frequency and calculating the mean value of the detected values to an automatic voltage regulator for controlling the excitation current of the generator. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage of the generator 3 is constantly controlled through the automatic voltage regulator AVR 1 by a field current controller 2, and the output of the electric power system stabilizer controller PSS 4 is applied to the AVR 1 to contrive the stabilization in the electric power system. The PSS 4 consists of a voltage simulation circuit 5, a DELTAf detecting circuit 6, a DELTAf/DELTAV conversion circuit 7, and a phase regulating circuit 8, and the DELTAf detecting circuit 6 further consists of a DELTAf/D converter 10 and resistors 13-15, an adder 17 and a divider 18 for calculating the mean value. Accordingly, when the mean value is calculated, noise caused by the vibration of the shaft of the generator can be resultantly removed, the gain of the PSS is raised, and the controllability in the electric power system stabilizer can be consequently improved.
