Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent mixing of air and short-pass by a method wherein two consecutive kneading operation is performed in a kneader and the first and second slots are controlled. CONSTITUTION:A barrel 1 contains two rotor shafts 4. Each of the shafts 4 has the first feed section 5 having engraved spiral groove which forwards material supplied from a material feeder opening 2 at one side, followed by the first rotor section 6 where two spiral bodies having forward and backward lead angles are smoothly joined, and followed by a column section where the cross section gradually changes from the first rotor section 6 to form the first slot section 7 between the barrel 1 in order to control melting zone and prevent the short-pass. The section 7 is further followed by the second feed section 8, the second rotor section 9, and a headless cone section constituting the second slot section 10. In this manner, mixing of air and the short pass is prevented.
