Abstract

PURPOSE: To coat the heads of coated chopsticks with a lacuer liquid without resting on manual operation.
CONSTITUTION: The chopsticks 36 put on the pipe conveyer 2 one by one from a hopper 26 are turned by a chopstick delivery roller 1 provided slantwise in such a manner as to make the head of chopstick contact with a tapered surface 4 of a heat-coating rotary plate 3 on a coater side. Because the lower side of the rotary plate 3 is in contact with a tapered surface 5 of a rotary plate 6 to which lacquer is adhered, provided at the lower side, through a glue, the tapered surface 4 always has the lacquer adhered, whereby permitting the coating of the lacquer to be performed simply when the tapered surface 4 is touched by the head of the chopsticks 36. In this case, since the roller 1 is provided slantwise is such a manner as to move the heads of the chopsticks 36 along the said tapered surface 4, the chopsticks 36 are coated with the lacquer while being turned by the roller 1 by leaving a spiral locus on the tapered surface 4.
