Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a size of a butt welding at a constant value and effect the welding uniform and capable of observing uranami beads thereof by a method wherein grooves are provided at abutting surfaces in shelves for a nozzle plate varying in the shape of its wall surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: Shelves 11, 12 are attached to both ends of a nozzle plate 10 varying in a configuration of a wall surface thereof from its inlet portion of a row of blades toward its outlet portion. Grooves 11A, 12A are provided at a given distance from an inner surface of the shelf 11 or from an outer surface of the shelf 12 and holes 13, 14 are formed when the shelves are abutted against each other. The shelves 11, 12 are abutted annularly by butt weldings 16, 17. Lids 18, 19 are welded to the holes 13, 14 and the shelf 11 is fitted with an inner diaphragm 20 while the shelf 12 is fitted with an outer ring diaphragm 22. Thus, sizes of butt weldings between the shelves may be kept at a given value, uniform weldings may be effected and uranami beads caused thereby may be observed.
