Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent unfavorable influence from being exerted the photographic characteristics of a minus charging type electrophotographic receptor by interposing a precoat layer made of electron accepting resin between the electrical conductive support and charge generating layer of the receptor to inhibit the implantation of a plus charge.
CONSTITUTION: A soln. of an electron accepting resin such as polyvinyl butyral or maleic acid resin is applied to electrical conductive support 1 such as Al sheet, other metal sheet or paper, cloth or plastic film which has been made conductive, and the soln. is dried to form a precoat layer 2. Layer 2 is coverted with about 0.05W5μm thick charge generating layer 3 contg. an org. pigment such as disazo pigment or trisazo pigment, and layer 3 is further covered with charge transferring layer 4 contg. an electron donating substance such as hexamethylenediamine or p- toluidine to obtain the desired minus charging type electrophotographic receptor.
