Abstract

PURPOSE: To take-up material without formation of slacks in high efficiency by twisting-up at right angles the stripe material supplied horizontally from a slitter by a vertical pulling-up rollers, in the taking-up apparatus for the metal stripe materials having small width which are cut separatively by a slitter.
CONSTITUTION: A stripe material 2 enters into a slitter 4, passing on a horizontal roller 3 and cut separatively into stripe materials 2' having narrow width, and said materials pass through a pair of horizontal pressing rollers up and down, and are sent to a taking-up apparatus 6 horizontally. The taking-up apparatus 6 is equipped with each vertical pulling-up rollers 21 midway on the passage in which stripe material 2' goes to each drum 8, and each stripe material 2' sent-out horizontally from the slitter 4 is twisted at right angles (90°) between a common roller 5 and each roll 21, and each stripe material 2' is pulled-up so that both stripe edges in the direction of width are positioned up and down. Each stripe material 2' pulled- up vertically is supplied to each vertical drum 8.
