Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition suitable for a fruit bag having improved water repellency and weather resistance, consisting of a specific animal or vegetable solid fat and petroleum wax.
CONSTITUTION: The desired composition consisting of (A) hardened oil obtained by hydrogenating vegetable, animal, or fish oil, and/or natural solid fat and (B) paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax, and/or synthetic petroleum wax. A hardened oil (e.g., iodine value 0W75) obtained by hydrogenating one or more oil selected from the group consisting of vegetable oil, e.g., soybean oil, colza oil, safflower oil, fish oil, e.g., cuttlefish oil, Pacific saury oil, etc., animal oil, e.g., tallow, lard, etc. is used as the ingredient A, and a high-melting fraction obtained forn fractionation of tallow, sheep oil, is preferably used as the natural fat and oil. Synthetic wax consisting of a low-molecular-weight polyethylene having a molecular weight 1,000W4,000 and synthetic wax prepared by polymerizing olefin is prepferably cited as the petroleum wax of the ingredient B.
