Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to extract only an image pickup tube easily by use of an image pickup tube extracting jig made of a frictional member that is equipped to a socket being fitted in the image picture tube and hermetically fixed to the image pickup tube by being pushed by a clamp screw. CONSTITUTION:The clamp nut screwed around screw part 2a of coil assembly 2 is detached by turning. With clamp screw 11 loosened, the screw is inserted into image pickup tube 1 and socket 10 is screwed into coil assembly 2. Next, clamp screw 11 is screwed into socket 10. Consequently, frictional member 12 deforms elastically and is hermetically fixed to image pickup tube 1. In this state, turning socket 10 so that the screw will be loosened from coil assembly 2 extracts image pickup tube 1 from coil assembly 2 together with this jig since image pickup tube 1 is sufficiently clamped by frictional member 12.
