Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent leaking of lubricating grease, by a method wherein a seal member and a side plate are placed monolithically between a clutch inner and the side plate, of which a roller consists.
CONSTITUTION: A seal member 15 is formed monolithically at an inner circumferential edge of a side plate 12 by a sintering method. The seal member 15 is provided at an outer circumference or a side surface of a staged portion 16 of a clutch inner 9 by means of tightening member. In this constitution, the seal member 15 protects lubricating grease from the leakage which is the result of the centrifugal force produced when a direct current motor (not shown) runs. The seal member 15 also prevents the lubricating grease from leaking through a gap between the clutch inner 9 and the side plate 12 which is the result of the vibration of an engine. This improves sharply the durability of a roller clutch.
