Abstract
PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain a galvanized sheet with high adhesion by dipping a steel sheet with rolling oil stuck in a flux soln. after which the sheet is fed between uneven coating rollers and dried to make the coating of the flux soln. uniform. CONSTITUTION:Cold rolled steel sheet 1 with rolling oil stuck is dipped in a mixed aqueous soln. of zinc chloride and ammonium chloride as a flux soln. in treating vessel 2, turned to a different direction with roller 3, freed of an excess of the flux soln. by wringing with uniformly uneven coating rollers 4 of rubber, nonwoven fabric, sponge or the like, and fed to drying furnace 9 as sheet 1 with the flux soln. uniformly coated onto the surfaces. By this method the flux uniformly sticks to the sheet 1 surfaces in the form of fine specks, and a high quality galvanized sheet free from a nongalvanized portion and having high adhesion is obtd. after passing through furnace 9. In addition, heat treatment for removing rolling oil is made unnecessary.
