Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable high-speed printing, by composing a resistor of the first resistive coating layer of smaller size and resistance but of higher thermal conductivity than the first layer and its third resistive coating layer of higher thermal conductivity but of smaller resistance than the second layer.
CONSTITUTION: Electrode layers 2 are provided at a prescribed distance from each other on an insulating board 1 of ceramic or the like. The first resistive coating layer 3a of high resistance is provided so that it covers a part of each electrode layer 2 and is connected thereto. The second resistive coating layer 3b of smaller resistance and size but higher thermal conductivity than the first layer 3a is provided thereon. The third resistive coating layer 5c of lower resistance but of higher thermal conductivity than the second layer 3b is provided so that the third layer covers the first and the second layers. As a result, heat generated in a resistor 3 by electric power applied thereto is effectively transferred to a thermosensitive recording paper.
