Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce, in an impact type printer, vibrations of printing paper during printing and to reduce a printing sound, by staggering the printing paper at a place adjacent to a strike position to come in contact with other members.
CONSTITUTION: In an inpact type printer, such as a flying hammer type printer, wherein hammer means is struck against printing types with printing paper therebetween, printing paper 1 is staggered by a paper guide 3 and a mask 4 to come in contact with the paper guide 3 at 3-1 and 3-2 and with the mask 4 at 4-1 so that vibration of the printing paper 1 may be suppressed and therefore the strike sound is reduced. Preferably, the printing paper 1 is also in contact with a paper cutter 8 at 8-1, so that the strike sound reducing effect will be further increased.
