Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an electrosensitive recording body having a high resolving power and capable of adopting an electrosensitive recording system whereby an image can be obtained without developing, by overlaying a recording layer containing a biologen derivative as a major constituent upon an electrically conductive layer of an electrically conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A solution or aqueous dispersion containing an electrically conductive agent and, if necessary, a binder is applied upon a substrate such as a paper sheet, a plastict film, a metal plate or the like and is dried to arrange an electrically sensitive layer, upon which is applied an aqueous or methanolic solution containing biologen derivative as major constituent and is dried to arrange a recording layer. When an electric current is passed between the electrically conductive layer and the recording layer containing a biologen derivative as major constituent and supported on said conductive layer, color will be developed without generation of heat. The principle of said color development is assumed such that colorless dications are given electrons from a cathode to produce colered monoradical cations.
