Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase easily the rewinding accuracy of the tape, by securing the inversion for a fixed time for the capstan motor and thus giving the inversion to the tape.

CONSTITUTION: Capstan motor 12 usually turns clockwise, and the sag is easily caused at the left part of belt 16 due to the relation between the rotational direction and the load. Owing to this sag, idler 6 is detached from supply reel turntable 4, and then idler 9 is pressed to take-up reel turntable 5 to give the clockwise turn to take-up reel 2. Here if the pause button is pressed in timing A, motor 12 is reversed for t₁sec. And pinch roller 20 is released after the t₁sec. As a result, the tape is reversed by that amount by capstan 19 to cause the sag at the right part of belt 16. Thus idler 9 is detached from turntable 5 and then pressed to turntable 4 to give the counterclockwise turn to reel 1, and the tape is taken up to reel 1 by the same amount at the turn. When the pause button is released, pinch solenoid 29 operates to press capstan 19 to roller 20 and thus secure the normal running of the tape. As a result, the t₂sec editing mode is secured to give the normal mode after the t₂ sec. Thus the joint part is improved.
