Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A powder coating composition, prepared by mixing (A) 70W 99pts.wt of a polyester resin, of reduced specific viscosity of 0.7dl/g or lower, of carboxyl equivalent of 50W5,000/106g, and of softening point of 50W180°C, with (B) 30W1pts.wt. of a cyclic imino ehter compound of formula I [wherein Ar1, and Ar2 are aromatic nuclei; X is formula II, III, S, SO, SO2, O, formula IV (wherein q is 1,2 or 3) or an Ar1-Ar3 direct bond; p is 0.1; n is 2 or 3; l is 3 or 4; formula V is directly bonded with an Ar1 or Ar2 aromatic nucleus].
EFFECT: A powder coating composition, with good powder stability and excellent blocking resistance, which is easily handled because it is not quickly cured when kneading with a solvent, and forms a smooth coat, excellent in weather, bending, heat and corrosion resistance.
