Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify and miniaturize constitution by using a light emission diode that varies in quantity of emitted light with an output voltage.
CONSTITUTION: As voltage Ei is applied between input terminals IN1 and IN2, base current is supplied to the base of transistor (TR) by way of resistance R2 and through Zener diode ZD of control circuit CON, a constant voltage is obtained. Consequently, TR conducts and between output terminals OUT1 and OUT2, voltage E0 is developed by way of the smoothing circuit consisting of inductance L and capacitor C. In accordance with voltage E0, light emission diode LED connected in parallel to capacitor C turns on. As LED turns on, photosensitive pulse oscillating element P connected in parallel to ZD conducts to form a short circuit across ZD, and consequently, the base voltage of TR is decreased to control the conduction extent of TR, thereby holding voltage E0 constant.
