Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a secure separation of gas from liquid after heat exchange in the direct contact type heat exchanger between the liquid and the gas or the liquid and another liquid by a method wherein below the casing is provided a subcasing which is separated by a partition with a gas-rising tube.
CONSTITUTION: When the primary fluid 3 at high temperatures is introduced into the casing 1 through a duct 2 and the secondary fluid 6, that is, a low temperature gas is sent into a dispersion device 4 through a duct 5, the gas 6 is dispersed in the fluid 3 in the form of fine bubbles, is heat-exchanged by a direct contact with the primary fluid and then is discharged through an exhaust port 9. The fluid 3 which has exchanged heat is discharged from an exhaust pipe 17. At this time, the liquid 8 to be discharged enetrs the subcasing 15 beyond the partition 14 through connecting tubes 16 accompanying the bubbles. As the liquid hereof is kept from fluidity, the bubbles are separated easily and securely according to the difference of specific weights and the separated gas is introduced into the upper space of the casing 1 through the gas-rising tube 18.
