Abstract

PURPOSE: To print on the hoop iron continuously by a method wherein a degreased and dried hoop iron is coated entirely on its both sides, and the coated hoop iron is passed through a printing roller after drying the coat.
CONSTITUTION: The hoop iron 1 drawn out from an uncoiler 2 is degrased 3, suspendedly spanned between a feeding pulley 4a and a receiving pulley 5a in a drying furnace 7 and dried in situ. Then the hoop iron 1 is drawn out of the furnace 7, passed around a turn roll 9, passed through a roll coater 8 so as to be coated entirely on its both sides, passed around a receiving pulley 5b in the furnace 7 and around a turn roll 10, passed through the roll coater 8 again, passed around a feeding pulley 4b and a receiving pulley 5d in the furnace 7 for drying the coat. The hoop iron 1 is then drawn out of the furnace 7, passed around a turn roll 12 and through the printing roller 11 so as to be printed, then reintroduced into the furnace 7 and suspended by a receiving pulley 5e and a feeding pulley 4c for drying the print. The hoop iron 1 is then fed from a receiving pulley 5f into a drier 13 equipped with a blower 14, is subjected to a backing treatment while being continuously and suspendedly spanned between plural sets of feeding and receiving pulleys, and then wound up by a recoiler 15.
