Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the zinc ingot to be changed into a melting vessel without interfering with a snout and to reduce the cost for installation by a method wherein a hanger is installed at a position horizontally separated from its lifting device by a specified distance. CONSTITUTION:The zinc ingot 2 is lifted by a hanger 13 from belt conveyor which is not shown, is moved by a movable truck 6, and is charged into a zinc melting vessel 3. In this equipment, the leading edge of the hanger 13 is located at a specified distance from the opening edge of the vessel 3 toward its center. The hanger 13 is designed to rotate via cylinder 12 and link lever 10, and to hold and release the ingot 2 by the operation of a cylinder 15. The structure allows the hanger 13 to operate without interfering with the snout 17 located and enables an ingot 2 to be charged in.
