Abstract

The detecting signals of the speed detector 16 for the looper motor 9 and the speed-up torque detector 17 for the looper 8, are respectively inputted to the multipliers 18, 19. The multipliers 18, 19, multiply the respective input signal by the separately obtained factors a1, a2; the resulting outputs and the operated looping amount of material ltheta obtained by the arithmetic unit 13 are subtracted from the reference looping amount lr, and the result of subtraction is given to the looping amount controller 14. Correspondingly to the difference between the output of the controller 14 and the reference speed S1r of the stand 1, the speed controller 6 controls the motor 4.
