Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the tightness of a container by making it into a double-walled structure consisting of the interior container made of an alkali-proof resin and the exterior container made of a resin film that has high pressure-resistant strength. CONSTITUTION:An interior container 1 is made of an alkali-proof resin, such as polypropylene, polyethylene etc., and is equipped with positive plates and negative plates in it to constitute a battery and sealed at welded parts 2 and 3. An exterior container 7 is made of a resin film with a mechanical strength capable of withstanding any expansive force which may develope on account of the gas generation inside the interior container. This exterior container is sealed at welded parts 9 and 10.
