Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively remove reaction products without leaving them in an aqueous liquid, by removing aldehydes from the aqueous liquid containing aldehydes by using a specific absorbent. CONSTITUTION:In the treatment of microcapsule dispersion containing aldehyde polycondensation resin membrane or aldehyde bridged wall membrane, aldehydes present in an aqueous liquid containing aldehydes are removed by using an absorbent, prepared by fixing a functional group with an amino group, e.g., aminomethyl group, aminoethyl group, etc., on a water-insoluble support of a bridged polystyrene resin, etc. Thus, aldehydes can be effectively removed by the absorbent without leaving reaction products in the aqueous liquid.
