Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a sludge scraping structure and reduce a power cost by arranging vane wheels comprising plural vane plates fixed on a shaft in the vicinity of a water level of a floating and separating part floating suspending substances in the waste water and separating them.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water is rapidly stirred and mixed in a coagulation reacting part 2 equipped with a stirrer 1 and, thereafter, introduced to a rectifying part 8 through a water flowing pipe 3 and, subsequently, flowed into a floating and separating part 4 for separating a floated sludge. In the vicinity of a water level of the floating and separating part 4, plural vane wheels 24 constituted by fixing flight plates 26 on shafts 25 are arranged and a floated sludge is scraped down into a sludge tank by rotating the vane wheels 24 and the treated water is exhausted from a water collecting pipe 7 having pores 10, 10'. This scraping apparatus 24' is light and simple in a structure compared to a system wherein vane plates are fixed to a chain and rotated by sprockets and the maintainance thereof is easy.
