Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure accurate disturbance identification with less required number of signal lines between devices by sending the response pulse to the monitoring device only when the devices to be monitored work normally.
CONSTITUTION: Arranged are the monitoring device 1, devices 2W6 to be monitored, the signal lines 11W15 and the response bus 16. The searching pulse is transmitted to the device 2 from the device 1 through the signal line 11. The device 2 sends the response pulse to the bus 16 only when it works normally while it delivers to the signal line 12 the pulse 1.5W2 times delayed from the response pulse. Other devices 3W6 act similarly. As a result, the pulse is sent to the bus 16 intermittently only corresponding to the number of the normal devices to be monitored. The device 1 counts the number of pulses thus sent to identify the disturbance of the devices to be monitored.
