Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the flaws on the surface of the steel strip and then realize a cost reduction, by blowing the hot air to the surface of the steel strip in a furnace. CONSTITUTION:The air sucked by the circulating fan 3 and through the air inlet port 9 and the intra-furnace air inlet port 10 is heated by the burner 2 and then blown outside through several units of the hot air blow-out port 6 provided at the upper and lower part of the furnace. The heated air is exhausted partially by the exhausting fan 4 and most of the air is sucked again from the intra-furnace air inlet port 11. Thus the same cycle is repeated. On the other hand, the steel strip 8 is wound up in a certain speed to pass through between the hot-air blow-out ports 6 to be heated by the hot air. Thus the oxidized scales are produced on the surface of the steel strip for coloring. In other words, the steel strip receives a temper coloring treatment.
